The Minnesota Hobby Beekeepers Association Library
The Minnesota Hobby Beekeepers Association motto is, "Better beekeeping through education." One of the ways we serve this goal is through our MHBA library. The library contains over 120 books, videos, and other materials covering all aspects of honeybees, beekeeping, and the use of honeybee products. The librarian regularly purchases new items, and members are welcome to suggest things they would like added to the library.
The library is open for borrowing at each general meeting.
The following policies cover library use:
· The library is available only to MHBA members.
· Members may borrow library materials for two months at a time (or,
from November to the February meeting).
· Member households can have two items checked out at any one time
(or, three items from November to the February meeting).
· All items must be returned by the November meeting each year. Any
items not returned by then are considered lost and the member is asked to
reimburse the MHBA for the replacement cost of the item.
· Members with unpaid charges cannot borrow from the library until
the MHBA is reimbursed.
