Dan Piechowski from Henry’s Honey Farm in Redgranite, Wisconsin to tell us about
their operation and how much it has changed over the years. Dan is a third
generation bee keeper and past president of the Wisconsin Honey producers
April 13 - 335 Borlaug Hall:
- Dr. Jeff Pettis - Research Leader USDA Bee Lab, Beltsville, MD, spoke of an effort to test the model, by monitoring the quality of landscapes where colonies are placed.
Dr. Chip Euliss - USGS - spoke on the use of habitat modeling to establish relationships between landscape, forage quality, and honey production.

June 9th - Eric Mader, Adjunct Assistant Extension Professor with the University of Minnesota's Department of Entomology and the Xerces Society’s (www.xerces.org) National Pollinator Outreach Coordinator, will be presenting a day-long workshop on native pollinator conservation, June 9, 9 to 4, on the St. Paul campus.
